CJ // Developer + Tattooer // Winchendon, MA · Est. 1989

Apps, sites,
ink & everything
in between.

XSV Development. I build apps and websites, tattoo full-time, and ship things people actually use. Whatever the stack, I'll figure it out. Tech-junky shit, made by hand. Hit me up.

// 01 — Services / Tiered Pricing

Pricing without the bullshit.

Three tiers, real numbers, no "contact us for a quote" runaround. If your project doesn't fit, we'll talk. One person builds it — designer, developer, project manager all the same guy. Faster, cheaper, less broken-telephone.

// Turnarounds below are averages based on similar past projects. Real timelines flex with scope, your responsiveness on revisions, and how gnarly the build gets. Could be sooner, could be a little later. We lock the number when we lock the scope.

// FAQ
Do you do logos / branding / Photoshop work?+
Yeah — I'm a tattoo artist and digital illustrator on top of being a dev. If your project needs design work, it's built into the quote.
Why no template-based stuff?+
Because you can buy a Squarespace template for $20 and I'd be charging you for time, not value. I build custom or I don't build it.
What if my project lands between tiers?+
We talk. Pricing isn't a vending machine. If The Build is too much and The Drop is too little, we figure out a middle scope.
Do you do ongoing maintenance?+
Yes — flat monthly retainer for content updates, security patches, and small tweaks. Quoted after launch based on what you actually need.
Where are you based / do you work remote?+
Winchendon, MA — western part of the state, near the NH border. Remote with clients anywhere. Local meets welcome.
Why should I hire you over an agency?+
Agencies have layers — account manager, designer, developer, project manager, all billing you. With me, you're talking to the person actually building it. Faster, cheaper, less broken-telephone.
// 02 — About

One person. Two trades.

I'm CJ. I build apps and websites for a living, and I tattoo full-time on the side — new-school traditional, mostly. Bold lines, saturated color, modern subject matter on a traditional foundation.

Most freelance devs can't design. Most designers can't ship. Most agencies charge 3x for the gap. I sit in the middle of all of it, which means you get one person making the call instead of four people relaying it through Slack.

Stack-agnostic by design. JS, TS, Java, C, C++, Rust — I'll work in whatever the project actually needs. If it's new to me, I'll figure it out. That's the job.

Based in Winchendon, MA — western side of the state. Remote anywhere. Local meets welcome.

Tell me what you're building.

Fill the brief, hit send. Email or text are best — I'm honestly more comfortable in writing than on a call. If we're a fit, I reply within 48 hours with a scope and a quote. No "let's hop on a call to align on synergy" nonsense.
